Midwest Chapter of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy & Psychodrama
Welcome.
We are the Midwest Chapter of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.
We are reorganizing our chapter and welcome new members. We are also looking forward to assisting with the planning of the next national conference for ASGPP in March 2009 in St. Louis, Mo.
ASGPP is the professional organization founded in 1942 by Dr. J.L. Moreno as the pioneer group therapy organization. As the organization has grown, chapters and collectives have developed throughout the United States, allowing for geographical networking, referrals and camaraderie. Our chapter covers a multitude of interests and the 12 states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
The chapter periodically sponsors special mini-programs throughout the region and offers the opportunity of professionals, students and others to communicate and network with each other to advance the practice of action skills.
Membership in the Midwest chapter includes psychodrama practitioners and trainers, educators, mental health professionals, expressive arts psychotherapists, actors, helping and health professionals interested in creative arts and experiential therapies, professionals in other disciplines who want to learn about action skills, and students.
